Terms of Hire — Summary 🔒

Below are our Terms of Hire and General Guidelines for use. When booking online you agree to these terms at all times. Do not book if you do not agree. Read carefully for your safety and enjoyment.

Booking, Payment & Cancellation 💳

• A booking fee is required to secure your date and time. Booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 3 days before your hire date unless otherwise agreed. Cash only on delivery if arranged.
• Cancellations must be made by phone and email (lee@islandinflatables.co.uk). If cancelled 14 days or more in advance no further charges apply (booking fee retained).
• If cancelled within 14 days of the hire date, full payment is due. No refunds for late cancellations.
• If you accept delivery and then refuse use due to weather or change of mind, full payment remains due and no refund is given.

Delivery & Collection 🚚

• Delivery window is approximately 8am–1pm. Times are approximate and cannot be guaranteed.
• Someone aged 18+ must be available between 7am–1pm to accept delivery (excludes hall hires). Drivers will wait a maximum of 5 minutes.
• If the unit does not fit the area on delivery, full payment is still due. It is your responsibility to check dimensions and access beforehand.
• Units must be ready for collection at the agreed time. Late availability may incur a surcharge.

Site, Surfaces & Access ⚠️

• We can only peg units securely into natural grass. We do not recommend artificial grass, astroturf, driveways or car parks unless we can safely use pegs. We accept no liability for damage if instructed to peg artificial surfaces.
• Check for overhanging trees, low ceilings and clear access for large items. Mega slides and large obstacle courses require direct vehicle access.
• We cannot guarantee delivery where highway restrictions, roadworks or emergency incidents cause delay.

Electricity & Operation 🔌

• All units require your 240V supply. We provide 25m cable as standard. Max distance is 50m. Extra extensions can be arranged.
• No refunds if your power supply fails or is interrupted.

Liability, Damage & Repairs 🛠️

• The hirer is responsible for all repair or replacement costs for damage caused by abuse or misuse.
• Do not remove or move any unit from its secured position without prior permission.
• We will offer an upgraded replacement unit at no extra charge or a full refund if the booked item is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.

General Safety Guidelines ✅

• An adult must supervise at all times.
• Remove shoes, jewellery, badges and sharp objects before use. Socks must be worn on buses.
• No food, drink, smoking, BBQs, fireworks, pets, silly string, face paint, colour powder or party poppers on any unit.
• No climbing on walls, front steps or hanging off sides. Match ages and sizes to avoid overcrowding.
• Persons with back or neck problems should not use the equipment.
• In rain keep the unit running and towel-dry slip areas. In winds over 22mph discontinue use immediately.

Softplay Bus / Gaming Bus Terms 🚍

When you book a Softplay or Gaming Bus you accept these additional terms.

Vehicle Access & Parking 📏

• Buses measure 10m (33ft) long x 2.4m (8ft) wide x 4.42m (14ft 6in) high. Adequate access and turning space is required.
• Allow a minimum of three car lengths for parking. Keep area free of low branches and obstructions.
• If requested to park on private driveways we accept no liability for damage to surfaces or manhole covers.
• The hirer must obtain any necessary parking permits. Parking fines incurred are the hirer’s responsibility.

Bus Rules & Supervision 👥

• Maximum 15 children on the Softplay Bus at any one time. Minimum two supervising adults required.
• Children must remove shoes and wear socks. No food or drink in play areas. No chewing gum.
• Parents/carers remain responsible for the children. Island Inflatables staff will oversee operations but not replace supervision.
• Any damage caused by the hirer's party will be charged to the hirer.

Breakdown & Weather 🌧️

• We maintain vehicles to a high standard, but breakdowns can occur. If we cannot attend we will offer a full refund or reschedule.
• In extreme weather we may withdraw. Refunds exclude the booking fee, but deposits may be moved up to 12 months.
